Project summary

The Proposed Project will contribute to the modernization of the Postgraduate Qualification Curriculum of Pharmacy at the Universities in Serbia. It will improve the Continuing Professional Development System in the Pharmaceutical Sector in Serbia. These will be achieved through the systematically planned and conducted activities related to the Curriculum Update, staff and educational resources development, development of the e-education platform. The project priorities will be to create the more flexible and efficient, competency based, postgraduate qualification system established on the well defined learning outcomes, that will meet the needs of the profession and the labour market at large. All the Project activities will be directed towards achieving the compatibility and comparability with the relevant EU practices and policies. The Project objectives will be met through the intensive collaboration and exchange of knowledge and experience with the EU Partner Institutions, support obtained from the relevant governmental bodies and professional associations and organizations and by strengthening the links between the RS Universities.

Objectives

The aim of the proposed project is to improve the quality and effectiveness of the Postgraduate Qualification Curriculum at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, initiate the Pharmacy Postgraduate Qualification Curricula at the other RS Universities and introduce the concept of Continuing Professional Development in the Pharmaceutical Sector in Serbia.

The goals are:  

  • to create a more flexible, competency based postgraduate qualification system founded on the well defined learning outcomes, that will meet the specific needs of the profession and the labour market;  
  • staff and educational resources development in line with the new teaching/learning and assessment methods available;
  • establishment of the ECTS credit system harmonized with the EU requirements and EU quality standards in higher education.


The strategy towards the harmonization with EU policies and practicies through mobilization of the relevant partner institutions in Serbia with the support from more experienced higher education institutions and experts from the EU Member States has been recognized.
